Pale Ale
Hoppy Fettler
‘The legend, the myth’
The Hoppy Fettler was born in Chorley long ago, as a result of a scientific endeavour gone awry. The combination of new world hops & select malts gave birth to a character so bold only Withnell’s Brew Co could contain it.
Cast your eyes upon the fruits of those trial & tribulations, for the Hoppy Fettler legend lives on in every bottle. If you’re fortunate enough to spot the fettler in the wild, legend has it that luck showers those who doth ye cap and whisper ‘Go on ye Fettler!’
Hoppy Fettler – ‘Fettled to stand the test of time’
GOLDEN Ale
PUSH IRON
Push Iron is our take on a Classic English Golden Ale with a modern twist.
Maris Otter, crystal malt, & classic english hops provide the backbone. The beer is then dry hopped using a variety of modern hop breeds from around the world.
Ruby Ale
TIN Basher
Tin Basher – noun ‘A skilled individual in the art of manipulating metal into anything they see fit.’
A mighty Ruby Ale forged with the finest malt, hops, & locally sourced honey. Dry hopped with Vanilla,Cinnamon & selected spices.
Withnell’s Brew Co started life on the site of an old Chapel, moved to the site of an old Mill, and now stands at the site of a former Forge works. Tin Basher was conceived in a Chapel but came home to the Forge. The Ale that stands before you celebrates serendipity; combinations that result in a whole greater than its parts, of a shared heritage, of combined endeavours that shape our everyday landscape.
Tin Basher – ‘Forged in a moment in time!’
IPA
Pikestone IPA
A malty, hoppy IPA fusing English Malts with New World Hops.
Named after the oldest manmade structure in Lancashire, this landmark of an Ale uses a premium malt bill, paired with a range of hops including Amarillo Chinook, Citra, Simcoe & Mosaic.
Blonde
Blonde Summit
‘A zenith of a blonde combining top malts with peak hops’
Brewed in the heart of Chorley, Lancashire, using Maris Otter, Crystal, & Cara Malt. This Ale is a showcase for the Summit™ hop. A dwarf variety first developed in 1998 by the American Dwarf Hop Association, enabling hop growers with limited height to maximise hop yield.
A celebration of ingenuity in the face of adversity, the mountains we turn to molehills, of shooting for the stars and being content with the moon & of the little brewer with a big idea!
Blonde Summit – ‘What’s your Summit?’
